The <strong>Dublin balladeer<\/strong> believes that music can, <strong>\u201cSoothe the soul\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">An original song<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In these <strong>challenging times<\/strong> we are encouraging primary and secondary students to compose an original song expressing how they are feeling. The song can be<strong> fun, reflective, optimistic<\/strong> &#8211; the choice is yours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Creative energy<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In the words of Damien, <strong>&#8220;Music is about healing and community and hope. It\u2019s a way of life.\u201d<\/strong>&nbsp; The Dublin songwriter is delighted to offer his support to <strong>&#8220;Inspiring You&#8221;<\/strong> in working to harness the <strong>creative&nbsp;energies<\/strong> of our nation&#8217;s youth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Special class visit<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The<a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/m0j0c8YMsI8\"> <strong>\u201cSing All Your Cares Away\u201d<\/strong><\/a> schools\u2019 competition is open to students of all ages, with the winner&nbsp;receiving&nbsp;a <strong>special class visit<\/strong> for the legendary Damien himself!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Young Fans<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Damien is a passionate supporter of young talent and has supported a number of schools competitions in the past. His visit to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.stcronansjns.ie\/videos\/damien-dempsey-sings-your-pretty-smile-with-room-2a\">St.Cronan&#8217;s Junior National School<\/a> in Swords was enthusiastically received by young fans!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">R\u00f3is\u00edn Seoighe<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Rising star of Irish music <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eirewave.ie\/music\/artists\/roisin-seoighe\">R\u00f3is\u00edn Seoighe<\/a> was treated to a surprise visit by Damien to her school <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=nFwsDvlxMRE\">Scoil Chuimseach Chiar\u00e1in <\/a>in Carraroe, Co. Galway as a prize for a song competition she won in 2015.
